The Vintage Marketplace is only 3 days away! Make sure you get down to the Convention Centre this weekend, as this promises to be a great show with some amazing vendors.
The show runs from 11am – 5pm both Saturday and Sunday, with a VIP shopping hour from 10am – 11am each day. There will be lots of great vendors to check out, food, fashions shows, you name it!
Can’t wait to see you there for the launch of our KT colours paint line!
Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve updated Relish’s online life. Oops, sorry!
It’s been a bit of a whirlwind few weeks here. Oscar’s keeping me busy as usual and yesterday was my final move-out day at the storefront. Phew, done! (And cannot wait to see how the space is transformed for the new shop moving in!)
I’ve also been doing some custom refinishing work on a dining set – will post some photos once it’s done – that’s going to look amazing!
And coming up in just 2 weeks is the Vintage Marketplace. It’s going to be a great show, and I can’t wait to check out the other vendors that will be there! Relish will be launching a line of paint at this show (more on this later), and I’m really looking forward to hearing you’re feedback, so I hope to see you there!
It’s our very last Art Crawl! Relish will be open tonight from 7-10pm for our very last open few hours.

We’re counting down Relish‘s last three days!
That’s right, Relish is open today, Saturday and Sunday, and then that’s it. (Of course we’ll still be online on our website and on our Etsy shop.)
We’ve still got huge sales on our remaining inventory, and there are still some stunning pieces left…
Well, after almost two years on James North, I have made the difficult decision to close Relish. I’ve had a wonderful time here at the shop, and have had the chance to work with some truly amazing designers and artists, but it’s time I turned my focus to my real job – working for little Mr. Oscar.
I want to thank all of you who have supported Relish – I’ve made some great friends and been inspired by wonderful people I’ve met here.
And the big news is that this means we’re having a HUGE STORE-WIDE CLOSING SALE over here at Relish, so come on over for some great deals!
But don’t worry! The Relish website will still exist – just needs a little re-vamping – and so will this blog. These will keep you up-to-date with my new projects, like some soon-to-be-released paint products I’m working on with Tricia, Relish’s resident artist.
And I’ll still be selling some vintage items and refinished furniture through my Etsy store.

Well the new year is hear and Relish has lots of great new inventory to brighten up your winter. For starters, we’ve just received a ton of beautiful new handmade cushions from Rekindle Home, based right here in Hamilton.
We all know first-hand how long and dark winter is, and these cushions are the perfect way to introduce a hit of colour to your home. This is especially great if you’re like me and your favourite winter activity is hibernating. And don’t worry, there are multiples of most of these cushions, so you can even get ones that match. Phew!

Now I know you’ve all seen my lovely refinished drop-leaf table at Relish, but look at it now!!!
Now I have to admit that, while I certainly liked it, I didn’t really love the whitewash finish I did on the top of this. So, this morning I came in early and sanded it completely off. Pretty productive Sunday morning, right?!
And now, it’s freaking beautiful!
If I had any room at all in my house I would take it home immediately and not sell this at all. Now I love, love, love this piece. And the good news for you is that it’s still at Relish and for sale. This will not be in stock for long, I promise!
