Please note that Relish will have the following hours over the long weekend:

Friday May 18th: closed

Saturday May 19th: 11am-5pm

Sunday May 20th – Tuesday May 22nd: closed

 

We will return to regular business hours on Wed May 23rd.

More Chalk Paint Projects at Relish!

Yep, still working away with that amazing product, Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, here at Relish. Last week I finished a couple of vintage chairs (which looks amazing painted, by the way) and a little girl’s vanity with a flip-up mirror.

Here are a few pics of the work as it progresses on the vintage kid’s chair…

Just look at this amazing Antibes Green colour! I mixed it with the Pure White to get this nice muted bright green for the kid’s chair.

Calling All Design-Savvy Vintage Lovers!

Ok, here’s the big news – Relish is looking for interns!

(Bertha said she’d do it, but it’s hard to count out change for customers when you have no thumbs!)
 
 
I’m really looking forward to having interns to help me out here at the shop, since this will free me up to source out even more amazing vintage pieces and new product lines for Relish. And new people getting invoved also means new ideas and a fresh set of eyes, which is always helpful.
 
If you want to learn more about design, furniture, vintage and the ins and outs of running a small business, not to mention getting involved in the great scene on James St N, this just might be perfect for you!
 
I’m looking for a couple of interns to work anywhere from 6 to 12 hours per week starting in May. You must be responsible, comfortable using social media, able to work unsupervised, mature, friendly, outgoing, and have an eye for design.
 
If you’re interested in getting involved at Relish, please email  me a quick note about why you think you’d be a great Relish intern, along with your resume and contact info, to me at info@relishvintage.ca.
 
And please feel free to include any questions you might have about the position! I’d be happy to provide you with some more details.

Great New Vintage at Relish!

Relish finally has some new vintage pieces in stock!

First is this gorgeous 2-piece solid wood hutch. It’s a lovely mossy green with an antiqued finish, has 2 upper shelves, a nice wide drawer and a cupboard below with shelving. All kinds of storage!

This piece would be great as a sideboard in a dining room, a unique kitchen cabinet, stylish bathroom storage, or an accent piece in the living room. So many option!

My two lovely Judy ladies at Relishhave new spring outfits – take a look!

The Latest Refinished Piece at Relish!

This is the latest vintage piece I’ve refinished for Relish – I’ve been dying to bring it into the shop for a couple of week, but I had to wait until last week so the paint could cure.

Isn’t this the most lovely piece?! As usual, I wanted to keep it for myself. But I was good – here is the work in progress…

New Vintage Goodies!

The second is this lovely refinished dining table with Relish’s signature bright green legs and a beautiful walnut-stained solid wood top – yummy!
